“I highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a nice place to stay if ever you're going to tour Jeongseon, Gangwon-do or you simply want to chill and relax over the weekend/holidays. It's 20minutes away from the bus terminal if you're coming from Seoul. (It's a 3 hr bus ride from Seoul to Jeongseon) We stayed in a wooden cabin equipped with everything we needed : comfy futons, blankets, cable TV, mini ref, sink, kitchen utensils, microwave oven, rice cooker, gas stove, hair blower, clean towels, shampoo/body wash/toothpaste, and a private bathroom. (As stated above) The floor was warm enough so we were able to sleep well. (We came during winter). The view outside was spectacular. Mountain, pine trees, snow, sky. The cabin has a nice porch, with wooden table and chairs (we were able to roast pork here. Really good) It was everything I've imagined it to be. It's quite far from the town though, so you might as well shop for your food already before you arrive. You can cook at the cabin. (The host was kind enough to buy us some groceries on our first day. His wife also gave us free kimchi. It was the best kimchi we've ever tasted so far) I remember enjoying every meal we've had during our stay. If you're going to ski resorts or some tourist spots, the host offers his car (can fit 4 people) much cheaper than a regular cab. He also served as our guide and helped us get through our first ever ski outing. We really enjoyed our stay. I thought of brining my family here someday. I hope to come back again. Thank you so much!”
